“The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan” (“The Family: A Proclamation to the World”). A temple sealing joins a husband and wife together for time and all eternity. Couples who are sealed in the temple are promised glory and joy throughout eternity (see Doctrine and Covenants 132:19–20). (General Handbook Section 27.3).
With your fiancé, call the temple of your choice to schedule an appointment for your temple sealing
Invite endowed members to attend your temple sealing, being mindful of the capacity of the scheduled sealing room
Amidst the excitement of preparing for your wedding, we invite you as a couple to dedicate time to prepare to begin a celestial marriage. As you prepare, please review the following material with your fiancé. Studying with your parents or other trusted adults is also encouraged.

When you are ready to receive your temple sealing, please complete the following steps:
Contact your Ward Executive Secretary to let him know you'd like to schedule an appointment with your Bishop to receive your living ordinance recommend for your temple sealing
Meet with your Bishop to discuss your preparation and worthiness to receive your temple sealing; your fiancé is welcome to join you
Contact the Stake Executive Secretary to schedule a meeting with the Stake President; inform him this meeting is to receive your temple sealing
Meet with your Stake President to discuss your preparation and worthiness
Your fiancé is invited and encouraged to join you for this meeting
Please bring with you the physical temple recommend that was signed by your Bishop
Take a moment to record your experiences of the day
Make plans to attend the temple regularly
If needed, transfer your records to a new ward
If needed, work with your Ward Clerk to ensure that your church records reflect your marriage and that you and your fiancé are listed in the same household
If time and circumstances allow, consider serving as a temple worker; if you are interested, discuss your interest with your Bishop
