Seminary

Seminary is a wonderful place for youth to deepen your faith in Jesus Christ! We encourage you not only to enroll in a Seminary class, but to attend regularly (and please be on time). If possible, take a printed copy of your scriptures, and remove distractions by putting mobile devices in Airplane mode. Most importantly, we invite you to engage in Seminary so that it can be a spiritually edifying and enriching experience for you as you deepen your conversion to the Savior, Jesus Christ.

You can learn more about Seminary on the church website, including the requirements for graduation and receiving credit. On that page, you can watch a video of President Nelson extending a personal invitation to attend Seminary. As you watch, please listen for the incredible blessings Pres. Nelson highlights that can come as a result of enrolling, attending, and engaging in Seminary.

Registering for Seminary

Registration for seminary typically involves two steps:

• Step 1: Register for Released Time at your junior high or high school for both semesters

  • • This step informs your school that you'll be attending seminary and will include seminary in your daytime schedule

    • Registration is typically in February each year for the following school year

  • Step 2: Register online at myseminary.churchofjesuschrist.org/family (parents use your Church account login)

    • This step informs the seminary program that you'll be attending seminary

    • It also grants parental permission for you to enroll in seminary

    • This registration needs to be complete separately for each seminary student in your household

Early Morning Seminary

Maple Mountain High School: Maple Mountain Seminary is part of a pilot program where early morning seminary classes will be taught by stake-called teachers. Students from our stake will attend early morning classes with other students from our stake. We welcome any youth in our stake who are interested in taking early morning seminary. Those interested can contact the seminary directly.

For our stake, early morning seminary will be held as follows:

• Location: Maple Mountain Seminary Building

• Time: 7-7:45am

• Days: Every day that school is held (A and B Days)

Mapleton Junior High School: Early morning seminary has limited space. Those interested can complete the form accessible from the Maple Mountain Seminary Linktree.

Checking Attendance and Progress

Use myseminary.churchofjesuschrist.org to check your attendance and progress once you are enrolled in seminary. You can also find your teacher's contact information on this page.

Seminary Resources

The seminary curriculum follows the Come, Follow Me rotation of scriptures and is supplemented by Doctrinal Mastery and Life Preparation Lessons. The seminary manuals are available in the Gospel Library under Books and Lessons -> Seminary.
